Birth Photography

Where do you offer these sessions?  We currently offer these services at: 

• St Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro, AR

• NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR 

• Home births within a 20 mile radius of Brookland, AR

 

When will you arrive for my birth session?  Birth has no exact timeline and each is very different! Our arrival is subject to several factors some of which being dilation, effacement, timing of contracts, which pregnancy this is for you (the more births you’ve had typically the faster you will progress!) and whether your water has broken or not. We will discuss all of these factors as well as others in your consultation to come up with a game plan for your birth! 

 

What if you can’t make it to my birth? If this is due to sickness or any other unforseen conflict we have several other photographers that we can call on to make it to your birth! If we happen to miss it due to you progressing too quickly we will be at the hospital to get your golden hour photos. If these are not enough to complete an album for you we will add a First 48 session at no additional cost to you. 

 

What if I have a C-Section? We will be there to capture all the preop and post op moments and memories. You will have to get permission from your OBGYN to have your photographer in the operating room and if permission is given all photos will be taken from above the curtain. (no incision photos will be available in your gallery). 

Will my photos be used for marketing purposes? We only share photos of birth sessions with direct permission from our clients for EACH photo shared on our socials, on our website or with other expecting moms. If you would like your photos to not be shared we completely understand and will not share them! 

 

Will you get photos of my “private” areas? This is completely up to you momma! We can either shoot from the view point of behind/beside the dr and “get it all” or from the viewpoint of mom. Just know that any of the photographers you will get during your labor and delivery, whether that be one of our main photographers Jessica or Hayley or any of our back up photographers, we are all moms and have been through this ourselves and been with others through their labor and deliveries as well. We are not shy, we do not care that we will be “flashed”. We are all moms who love the empowerment of labor and delivery and want to help you best capture it in a way that you are comfortable with.

 

When will I get my photos? You will get a few photos as a preview to your album and to share your exciting news within 24 hours of the birth. The rest of your gallery is typically done in 2-3 weeks. 

 

What if I go into labor before 39 weeks? We will try our very best to be there or will have one of our back-up photographers there as soon as we can! Again if things progress too fast for us to be there for the delivery we will capture the golden hour. If these are not enough photos to complete an album for you we will add a First 48 session at no additional cost to you. 

 

Can I add a First 48 Session to my birth photography package? Absolutely! This will allow you to not only have the photos and memories of the labor and birth but also those adorable photos once everyone has gotten to freshen up and baby is in their adorable first outfits. The first 48 session add-on to the birth photography session is $200 (regularly $275) and comes with a 1 hour shoot (typically around 24-36 hours after birth) and an online gallery of 35 photographer chosen and edited photos. 

 

How does payment work? There is a $450 deposit due when booking. The remaining balance is due by 38 weeks gestation. Payment plans are available.
